Once my butterfly motif was finished, I wanted to use it not only as an art print, but also to see how it would look on different surfaces. So I created mockups to test the design in a real context.

To start with, I concentrated on simple surfaces: Wallpaper and cushions. It was particularly exciting to see how the pattern changes depending on the material and scale. On a wallpaper it looks large and elegant, while on a cushion it takes on a whole new character – decorative, but still playful.

Experimenting was really fun and I can already see that there is more to come! I’m now keen to try out the design on other products. Let’s see where the journey takes us. Stay tuned 😉
